E-reader USB Sync

Help, without guesswork

Find the next
useful step.

Only e-readers that appear as a location in Apple’s Files app when connected by USB are supported. You must also be able to save files there.

The reader is missing in Files

Check the reader’s connection confirmation, cable data support and any adapter/power requirements. Try your known working cable configuration. If Files cannot access the storage, this app cannot mount it with a custom driver. Do not erase, reformat or edit reader system files.

The folder was remembered but is unavailable

Reconnect, confirm on the reader, and use Check access again. If Apple has revoked the grant or the volume identity changed, select the intended folder once in settings. Provider sign-in and cloud downloads may need to be completed in Files.

A book is skipped or conflicts

A filename already on the reader is skipped, even if its contents differ. Renaming a source file makes it a new filename to send. To keep both, prepare the source under a distinct filename and recompare; the app never silently replaces a reader file.

A transfer stops or storage fills up

Review per-book results and history. Completed copies stay on the reader; failure or cancellation does not mean every queued book was sent. Restore the connection or make space using your usual reader tools, then recheck. The app has no reader-book deletion feature.

A copied book does not open

Copy completion and reader import are separate. Check the format and DRM status, then record the reader’s actual error. No conversion, DRM removal or unsupported-format repair is included.

Contact support

For help or private questions, contact whiskerworks@nxtlab.dev. Include the app version, what you tried and the message you saw. If helpful, include the reader model and Apple device/OS. Please do not send books, passwords or private full paths.

You can also report a problem on GitHub. That tracker is public. If the app offers Share error details, you choose whether and where to send that report. See our privacy policy.
